Just getting home from class at Santa Monica College. I was shocked to hear that all the cops were acquitted and thought for sure people are going to raise hell, little did I know how much. Then thought that people were rioting in Santa Monica when a plane that took off from Santa Monica airport crashed into a used car dealership on Lincoln. Went onto the roof of my house and saw all the fires burning across L.A.

    oh... I was there.

I was doing a Rave in OC that weekend called Alice in Wonderland. I was at Clobber Clothing owner, Silas Hickey's place in LA getting the finishing touches done on our fliers.

We heard a BOOM! then a BOOM! we ran to the window of his place and we could see the transformers exploding from vantage point we had.
He said, that's it! everybody out, we are closing up! he knew it was not good, we were all waiting for the news.
I still had to go to the Electric Pencil graphic company on Melrose which was just down the street. by the time I got there, they had closed up the shop wand would not let me in.

They said if i really needed to get the disk in, i wopuld have to slide it under the door in the back alley. I did and took off.
I did not know they had cut the riots at the 110 Freeway and could not get on the freeway or cross its border. i was on the wrong side!

I remember the crazy scene of burning couches in the street and the burning buildings with no fire department or police around. I was right in the middle of the mayhem.

I somehow made it to PCH and turned left towards Long Beach, the Fires and mayhem did not stop until the traffic circle in Long Beach.

I have pictures of this somewhere, i had a little 110 camera with me at the time...

    and that's it!
